Services such as food delivery, pest control, elevator maintenance, fire equipment maintenance, and major construction are performed under contract with the University. The operational safety of employees performing these services is the responsibility of the contractor. These responsibilities are stated in the contract documents and include provisions for adhering to rules, regulations and laws as established by local, state and federal agencies. Since the consequences of a contractor not following safety regulations can have an effect on the University's property, students, faculty and staff, all efforts are made to ensure that contractors adhere to safety regulations.

Pest Control

The University Physical Plant Department contracts with certified pesticide applicators who periodically treat campus buildings to minimize pest infestations. Problems with insects or other pests should be reported promptly to the Physical Plant. Questions regarding the pesticides used can be directed to the EH&S office.
